Nicky Kaplan Interiors is a full-service design firm specializing in interior architecture and design. Founded by Nicky Kaplan, the firm is shaped by her global perspective, drawing from her experiences living in South Africa, Canada, and across the United States.
Originally studying Economics, Nicky soon discovered that her true passion lay in design. She earned her Interior Design degree from Ryerson University in Toronto and has been shaping spaces with intention and expertise since the mid-1990s.
Her career includes 11 years at HOK in Los Angeles, where she specialized in commercial, institutional, and civic design. Since launching her own firm in 2012, she has led projects spanning high-end residential interiors, corporate spaces, hospitality environments, and event venues—including work for Live Nation and a restaurant for the Sprout Group.
Beyond design, Nicky is deeply committed to community impact. She has created inspiring spaces for nonprofits such as Goodwill Southern California, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Schools on Wheels, and the HollyRod Foundation. She also serves on the steering committee for Anew, an initiative dedicated to extending the lifecycle of office surplus items through reuse, resale, repurposing, and recycling—advancing sustainability in the industry.
